Emily graduated from California State University Long Beach with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in History, specializing in ancient, world, and art history. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant, teaching assistant, and manuscript editor, and even had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy. She has guest lectured for both lower and upper-division courses and presented her research at a CSU conference alongside fellow historians.

Coming from a family of educators, Emily is passionate about making history and art history engaging and accessible. She strives to equip students with the tools they need to succeed while showing them that history can be just as exciting as any other subject.

Outside of tutoring, you can usually find Emily at home spending time with her dog, reading, crafting, or playing games. If she’s out with friends, she’s always ready with a board or card game in hand!
