Emily comes to AR after three years as the Lead Instructor and Teacher Trainer at the Irvine Mathnasium and six years of tutoring in the Newport Beach/Irvine area.  She graduated at the top of her class with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii and specializes in all levels of math, including all AP/IB courses.

Scoring in the 99th percentile on the math/science sections of the  ACT and math portion of the SAT, she loves taking her students to that same level (she’s known for producing many of AR’s top scorers).  Emily enjoys breaking down tricky concepts in a way her high school audience easily understands.  She’s known for her calm, patient, and easy-going demeanor, encouraging students to excel in ways they never thought they could.  Outside of AR, Emily enjoys playing tennis, beach volleyball, and board games, especially Monopoly and Catan!
