AR students average score gains of +5 ACT points and +200 SAT points—far exceeding national averages. Nearly 10% of our students score in the top 1% of test takers nationwide.
Here’s the big secret about the SAT and ACT: they are highly teachable. Just as a student learns how to play a musical instrument or excel in a sport, they can learn to master any standardized exam
— with the right guidance.
Question Recognition
The ACT and SAT are highly predictable. We teach students to recognize patterns in answer choices and key phrasing — so they know exactly what concept they’re being tested on and which strategy to employ.
Conceptual Mastery
Our subject-matter expert instructors make sure students know all the material that could show up on test day. Targeted instruction + curated curriculum.
Pacing Strategy
Beat the clock with proven test-taking techniques. Students learn to properly pace each section — maximizing correct answers in limited time. No question left behind.

Test Prep questions.
How long does ACT/SAT prep typically take?
Most students see meaningful score gains within 8–12 weeks of consistent 1-on-1 instruction with bi-weekly practice tests. We tailor the timeline to each student’s starting score, target score, and test date.
What score improvements should I expect?
AR students average +5 composite points on the ACT and +200 points on the SAT — far above the industry averages of +1.5 (ACT) and +60 (SAT). 10% of our students go on to score in the top 1% nationwide.
Are sessions in-person or online?
Both. Instruction is available in person at our Newport Beach and San Juan Capistrano offices, or live via Zoom anywhere in the world. Most students mix both depending on schedule.
Do I need to bring a diagnostic test score?
No. If you don’t have prior scores, we offer in-office diagnostic testing at no cost as part of your free consultation. We use the diagnostic to design your custom prep plan.
Is the consultation actually free?
Yes — completely free, no pressure. We analyze prior test results, discuss the program, and determine the best path forward for your student.
What other tests does AR prep for?
In addition to SAT and ACT, we prep students for AP exams, ISEE, HSPT, SSAT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, and MCAT.
